A little poem shared on dVerse written before I go to sleep.
color in my dreams
will not reflect the splendor
blue green sea in June
is just another shade of gray
sand beneath my feet
has lost its yellow hue
but yet the sound
of surf that breaks at shore
brings back the summer
and salty smell of sea
where colors left my mind

i think even just the sound of the ocean would be enough for me…sigh…i could listen to it forever with its infectious rhythm…
The oceans sound is so soothing. A lullaby I think, so it’s there in my sleep.
Funny how sometimes color is not quite captured in a dream…or remembered…but the sounds of the ocean are instilled in the rushing of our blood. Nice write!
Thank you Jaquie for your nice comment. Color is so not exact as we perceive it the same way I think. But sounds and smell we can always recapture I think.
Oh that second stanza.. nearly took my breath away.. This was so very beautiful.. and such a unique way of looking at things.. I like that!
