Carpe Diem – crocus

Today the word in Carpe Diem is crocus. Difficult for me since these earliest sign of spring is still a few months away. Today we had an additional 20 cm of snow. I took the picture below last year (unfortunately with my mobile phone). Also saffron comes from crocus.

  1. I wasn’t aware of Saffron coming from crocus thank you for teaching me something new. What a great cascading haiku set on crocus. Nicely composed. Thank you for sharing these little treasures with Carpe Diem.

  2. nicely crafted cascade … we, too, are looking forward to spring – what else can we do? I found the last haiku amazing – and, I never knew about saffron.,,,
